- The purpose of our documentary is to prove to the audience that the media isn't a clear representation of the general public's views of young people, and also to make people question their own judgements/prejudices.
Ask them what they thought the purpose of the documentary was BEFORE telling them our purpose.

INTERVIEW FEEDBACK:

- We used both an online survey and a live feedback session filmed on the DSLR camera used to film the documentary, we felt that using two different formats for the audience feedback would be useful as we could receive large amounts of feedback via the online survey and more in-depth responses on the live feedback video. In terms of the actual feedback we received it was mostly positive, with people praising the realism of it and describing it as both educational and informative. What was especially good from the feedback was the choice of music, which we chose in order to captivate our target audience, with under 10% of the online survey feedback being negative. Quality of editing and cinematography were both praised, with the live feedback participants focusing on the scene of the Arnold Oceng interview saying the focus wasn't great. We recognised this fault and unfortunately we weren't able to get another interview with Arnold in order to correct our mistakes, if we had been able to use a professional viewfinder during the filming this could've been avoided but we didn't have the budget for this sort of equipment.
Our main objective was to inform people of the misleading stereotypes of young people portrayed by the media, in our feedback around half were informed by our documentary and the other half said they were already aware of this but said the documentary was still interesting and told them things they didn't know.
In terms of which broadcast channel our documentary should be featured on we made the options VICE and BBC Three - the majority of respondents agreed that it would suit BBC Three more due to its informative style.
One more important point that we received from the audience feedback was that it held their attention well, which meant that not only did we educate the audience but also supplied a form of entertainment.
